Tuesday, July 19, 2022 - 8:00am to Thursday, July 21, 2022 - 8:00pm
This symposium unites scientists and engineers who are interested in understanding and using elements of fast movements observed in natural systems. The underlying science of these movements has broad impact across multiple areas, from system protection to energy management to control theory. As such, this symposium will provide a forum for biologists, roboticists, materials scientists, physicists, and engineers to connect and share new methods and discoveries to help advance our broader understanding in this critical field. Sponsored by Biology, Duke Materials Initiative, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science (MEMS), Pratt School of Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics.
